Project Name: Varyzon Kitchen
Location: Mumbai, Maharashtra.
Client Background:
Our client is an entrepreneur in the food industry, owning a chain of cake and bakery shops along with small restaurants. He employs skilled chefs for both the bakery and kitchen operations.
Project Scope:
The project involved redesigning a small restaurant with an integrated kitchen, focusing on creating a warm and inviting atmosphere through sustainable design. The scope included repurposing the client's existing collection of old furniture and reclaimed wood, while incorporating eco-friendly materials like low VOC paints and bamboo flooring. Additionally, the design emphasized maximizing natural light to enhance the dining experience. The project aimed to achieve a balance between aesthetics and sustainability for a cozy, customer-friendly space.
Client Requirements & Design Challenges:
The client had specific requirements to maximize seating in a small space while reusing his existing furniture, which was larger in size. Additionally, the project faced both budget and space constraints. To address these challenges, we introduced mirror paneling to create the illusion of a larger space and made modifications to the existing furniture to fit the space more efficiently. To further enhance the sense of openness, wide glazing was installed at the restaurant's entrance, giving the interior a more spacious and welcoming feel.
Sustainable Design Approach:
To reduce the project’s carbon footprint, Prakriti Green Interiors used locally reclaimed wood for wall paneling, creating a warm, rustic ambiance. The client’s old furniture was altered and reused to fit the space, reducing the need for new materials. Energy-efficient LED.
